Kerry & Andy's Industrial Country Styled Wedding at Sammy's in the Flats

Photography by RAD Photographer

Kerry and Andy are children at heart and all of the details they chose to include in their wedding showed that!  What a FUN day we had in May 2012 for these two who are truly best friends in love.  They wanted to incorporate both the feel of an industrial style with a country and carefree atmosphere.  They love the contrasting styles and I believe we did that very well!

Love these First Look pics!  Great idea to get the most out of your wedding day, and share a private, special moment before the craziness ensues....

In addition to our beautiful floral from Brandon at Urban Orchid, wonderful photography from RAD Photographer, scrumptious cupcakes from Bon Bon Cafe and stationery designed by their friend Shannon, we had KARAOKE for the guests instead of the regular DJ or band, and also ICE CREAM handmade by the groom!  I have to say that this ice cream was the best I've ever tasted.  It included alcohol infusions (Peppermint Schnapps and Bailey's Irish Cream) and keep your eyes on our facebook page because word on the street is that he is opening his own store soon!  Kerry and Andy even did an "Ice Cream Scooping Ceremony" instead of the cake cutting, which was super cool.  I was a little nervous that unless we pumped up the number of shots in the Noonernagel blue lemonade specialty drinks, that the karaoke wouldn't kick off but it did!  These two know their friends and everyone took to it immediately and very well.  I loved one of Andy's groomsmen's renditions of a Bruce Springsteen song!!!

Congratulations to Kerry and Andy!

A Fall Wedding at Brookside Farms

Around Christmastime, I received a package in the mail of the most delicious cookies ever. It was sent from my very thoughtful clients, Courtney and Billy who took the time out of their busy schedules to think of me and share more of the amazing treats that I loved so much from their wedding at the beautiful Brookside Farms. Everything about their wedding centered around family and honoring those that mean the most to them.
I had never worked at Brookside and going there for the first time felt so warm and inviting. It was the perfect spot for them. Courtney knew every last décor detail of their day right from the start. It was my job to find the perfect wedding pros to make it happen. I think Lynda Loren Floral did an amazing job with Courtney and Billy's bold, fall color scheme.
They were able to incorporate family heirlooms in to the wedding by using a beautiful, old trunk for gifts and old suitcases for cards. They are also an artistic family! Courtney cut her own fabrics from a small town fabric store near her beloved grandparents' home for the napkins and her sister made the menu board and hand painted corn hole games. Another "made from love" project was the amazing dessert display of cookies, pastries and chocolates and Courtney and Billy's "his and hers favors" which were Reeses Pieces and gummy bears. Courtney used jam jars with fabric to display the treats.
Lastly, I can't forget to mention Lilu, my first ever canine flower girl. I loved that they made sure she was part of their special day! I wish them a lifetime of more beautiful memories.
