Valentine's Day 2015 was the day of one of the worst snowstorms I have ever driven in. However, it did not stop Amy & Tim's wedding from being an amazing, memorable, beautiful and fun-filled evening. You would never know that the mother of the bride and I basically carried Amy into the shuttle and out of the shuttle to get into the Union Club because of all the snow. You would also never know they closed down a bunch of the freeways and roads during this day because all of the vendors and guests made it on time and everyone was happy and smiling!
I already knew Amy from her time as a bridesmaid in two weddings I planned in the past, so it was super exciting to hear from her when she got engaged to begin helping her with the Valentine's day wedding plans. She wanted romance and a few elegant touches of the holiday but not overly themed. I think we pulled it off! Another really fun aspect of this wedding is that Amy's dear dad wanted to bring in a surprise for the guests. He and Amy's mom love traveling and listening to 60's groups. We worked on booking The Vogues, a hit group from the 60's with hits such as Five O'Clock World (they used to play on the Drew Carey Show), My Special Angel and Turn Around Look at Me. At the beginning of the Father Daughter dance, Amy's dad stopped the DJ from playing the song and said instead, he decided to bring The Vogues in live to play it for his dance with his daughter. The band walked in and performed for a bit and all of the guests were surprised and elated! What an amazing wedding moment and memory.
Congratulations Amy and Tim! It was so wonderful working with you and wish you lots of love and many years of romantic wedding anniversaries on Valentine's Day!
