Jaclyn always envisioned getting married
at the home she grew up in and as soon as I saw it for myself, I knew why! A
sprawling property with a beautiful villa-style home surrounded by a large
fountain, impeccable terrace, magnificent statues (and even a softball field)
was the perfect backdrop for Jaclyn and Dionis’ tented wedding at home.
Jaclyn had a very clear vision so it was
fun to watch her make decisions through the plans that worked so well for her
dream wedding. She’s also hysterical, adaptable, smart, interesting, lovely and
a joy to be around so I truly enjoyed every minute of working with her to
create her organically elegant wedding!
Like everything with Jaclyn’s wedding,
the tent was over the top! An enormous pole tent provided by Aable was adorned with gorgeous
chandeliers from All Occasions, a
white dance floor from Event Source
and beautiful pole draping to finish the look from Designs of Distinction. With such a vast space under the tent, we
spent a lot of time creating soft spaces and sumptuous layers of design through
lighting, floral decor and beautiful tablescapes. We worked with Brandon from Urban Orchid who ran with the naturally
organic inspiration that Jaclyn shared. Mixtures of ranuculus, garden roses,
dahlias and daisies decorated the blend of round, square and rectangular tables
all lavishly draped and set thanks to the gorgeous rentals and linens at Event Source!
Jaclyn wanted a soft, natural look with
intrigue which we achieved using tones of cream, gold and blush – and a
cohesive mixture of tabletop rentals. Plush runners of greenery and candles
adorned the rectangular tables flanking the dance floor. The team at Rock The House executed various
lighting concepts throughout the tent. In one of my favorite photos of the
evening, you can see the tent was glowing – almost as much as the bride and
groom!
In the days leading up to the wedding
Jaclyn and I debated where to put the giant LOVE letters and their final
placement in front of the band was perfect! Among all of the very special and
personalized details, Jaclyn, being the Renaissance woman she is, designed,
printed and assembled her own invitations! Jaclyn then worked with the amazing
and talented Emily at Ting Stationery
to bring together the wedding day stationery. I just adore the beautiful place
cards topped with stones that glistened in the sun and looked stunning on the
terrace next to the pool.
Jaclyn’s cake was one of my favorite
cakes ever- beautiful on the outside, delicious on the inside! Jaclyn chose her
favorite, carrot cake! And you haven’t truly had carrot cake until you’ve had Luna Bakery’s carrot cake (seriously)!
Jaclyn and Dionis’ dance floor was packed
all night thanks to the Greek band Karizma,
and no one left hungry – that’s for sure! In addition to a perfectly curated
menu from A Taste of Excellence
inspired by the Mediterranean flavor profiles of Greece, there were also mounds
of traditional Greek appetizers and desserts a la mode, lovingly prepared by
friends and family.
Planning a wedding might be a daunting task for many brides. As you mentioned in the post, it's really hard to find an online event planning software that meets your expectations. Here is my favorite event organizing software that helps people not to lose their mind completely when planning an event.
