Alison and Brendon’s wedding day in Gates Mills, Ohio was all about the details from start to
finish. Our day started in the Fox’s Covert at the Chagrin Valley Hunt Club where their reception
would later take place. Alison and her bridesmaids enjoyed mimosas and tea sandwiches in
their custom India Amory robes that coordinated with the linens we would later see at the
reception. The details of the day were inspired by the Hunt Club, where the bride grew up. The
couple had a custom fox motif monogram created that was featured on their invitation and
continued on items down to the triangular matchbooks and the custom Sugarfina favors.
Guests were welcomed to Cleveland, Ohio with very thoughtful welcome gifts that let them
know they were in for a lovely weekend filled with lots of thought and detail.

Alison and Brendon were married at St Christopher by the River, a quaint church right across
from the Chagrin Valley Hunt Club. The program booklets and even the cones for the petal toss
after they were married were customized for the couple. Alison looked gorgeous in her Oscar
de la Renta gown and carried a lovely bouquet of bouvardia and tulips – how amazing does
that diamond and emerald engagement ring look! The bridesmaids wore a skirt and sweater
combo with their choice of fun earrings – this look was also perfect! After they said “I do” they
were whisked away in a pale blue Tbird while guests were guided back across the street for
cocktails by hunting dogs!

During cocktails, guests enjoyed a variety of foods including oysters shipped in from Fishers
Island Oyster Co., where the couple met. Guests were encouraged to drop off their cards in a
trophy that was actually awarded to the bride for riding from the Hunt Club when she was a
child! It was so thoughtful of the club to find it and polish it off for her. Guests found their
seats by finding escort cards in envelopes and then were greeted at their seat with their more
informal names, those gorgeous custom India Amory linens mentioned before, and menus with
the couples’ logo and hunt club-inspired landscape art. The centerpieces were full and lush and
the head table was adorned with candles and topiaries. The flowers and décor were all very
well thought-through pulling in the silver from the hunt club trophies around the club and
adorning every inch with flowers and décor – from the mantles to the wall sconces and down to
the dog statues outside as well as the horse lamps on the bars. Guests danced the night away
and as the dance floor heated up, guests were able to switch to monogrammed cups instead of
the bars’ glassware. Alison changed into a reception dress and the couple was sent off with a
sparkler exit.
