On July 24th, Christen and Ben were married in one of the most beautiful churches that I have ever seen! Trinity Cathedral in downtown Cleveland is a must see for Cleveland history buffs. History was the keyword for this lovely couple. I was touched by the family history that was intertwined throughout the wedding day. A vintage table cloth passed down in the family was used as the backdrop for family wedding pictures dating back to the 1800s. A beautiful antique brooch from the Majba family was used on the wedding cake and Christen carried the purse that her mom carried on her wedding day. Christen's grandmother made the most delicious pizelles for the dessert station. I couldn't get enough. Lastly, during the Father/Daughter Dance, Christen and her dad even did the twist with a great deal of seriousness! It was very sweet to see this young couple acknowledging their past in so many special ways. Family is obviously very important!
The couple spent a full day making homemade strawberry jam with Ben's mom for their guests to take home. Christen's talents didn't stop there....she hand drew all of the lovely images on their placecards, menu cards and programs. I really enjoyed working with such a down to earth, family oriented couple. Corey Ann was our talented photographer who captured all of the beautiful moments and Tina from Prestige Floral created lovely centerpieces to accent the berry and navy color scheme. I know that this couple will continue to make history for the future generations to also pay homage to. I wish them both every happiness!
Note from mother of the bride:
Dear Valarie,
Thank you!
Thank you for your kind comments about the wedding. It exceeded our expectations!
Thank you for providing top notch professionals to help with the planning and execution of the details for the wedding. Allison and Michelle's presence the day of the wedding provided the support needed on our most special day. It was a joy to spend the day focused on the bride and groom and being confident that every detail would be handled in a quiet, professional, perfect manner.
I have told everyone that having Kirkbrides help with the wedding was the best gift I could give to Chris and myself. This gift allowed us to have a perfect, stress free day. We were able to focus on enjoying the day... watching everything unfold beautifully and worry free.
Allison's help was invaluable. I wish I had more children just to have this experience again and again!!!
I know that your company will grow and succeed because it's GREAT!!!!
It's a little sad to know that we won't be working with so many great people now that the wedding is over. Allison, Karen Levin, & Tina Gudin ROCK! Our makeup artist, Lisa Adams is a consumate professional and you really should add her to your list of contacts.... talk about professional , warm and talented, she is all that and more.
Take care and thank you again.
Sincerely,
Sandy
Lindsey was one of our first few brides to book for her 2010 wedding. What a small world because it turns out I went to high school with Curt! Anyway, flowers were very important to Lindsey as you will see in the following pictures. The pictures, by the way, are stunning and were taken by the talented team at Visualizations Photography. I was so excited to create a relationship here and can't wait to work with their detail-oriented photographers more in the future!
The entire Kirkbrides team played a role in this wedding. Rachael took on most of the planning while I (Valarie) secured the fine tune details in the months leading up to the wedding, while Maura and two of our assistants, Lyndsey and Diane, took care of the coordination on the wedding day. The bride Lindsey and groom Curt got married on June 12, which was our busiest wedding day to date, with 3 going on all at once all around Cleveland! I knew that working at First Baptist Church again and with Karen at Sammy's, we were in very good hands. All floral and lanterns were designed and serviced by our buddies at Grande Designs.
Here is a note from mother of the bride:
Hi Valerie, The wedding and reception was absolutely perfect. The flowers were so gorgeous. Bernie is amazing. I wish he was doing Abby's wedding. Maura was adorable. So very helpful.
Sammy's food was so good and the workers were so efficient. And it didn/t rain!!!!!!!!!!!! So thank you for making our Lindsey's wedding day a perfect one. We didn't have to worry about a thing. I will take care of the violinist's check. I have to say I wish we'd had him play for
3 hours instead of 2. He was fantastic!!!!!!!!! I just loved him. You
should recommend him sometime. I wish I had him for Abby's. Thanks again
for everything. Kristen
Congratulations Lindsey and Curt! We look forward to seeing you again at your sister's wedding in Pittsburgh in September!
Lorraine was referred to me back in December 2009 by one of my December 2010 brides, who works with her in downtown Cleveland. When I met her, she was incredibly excited about getting married to Steven, but just not as excited to find time to finish the rest of the wedding plans for April 10, namely the creative details. I was happy to help and just loved working with her, as her vision of a romantic night with accents of greens, golds and ivory came to life. The programs we made for her are my favorite of all time! It was my first wedding at Landerhaven and I was very pleased with the delicious food and incredible dessert display!
This cake topper was made for the bride and groom through this shop on Etsy!
It was wonderful working with Kay at BCR Studios again, who provided us with these beautiful images. A few other highlights of the day include our "first look" done at the Courthouse, followed by the wedding ceremony at First Baptist Church on Fairmount in Shaker Heights. That church is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen in the Cleveland area!
I loved working with you two, and I know you will have a lifetime of happiness and romance!!! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day.
Below are just a few pictures I took of the day. Enjoy!
