Can
I get more than 3500 characters and married 20 more times to my husband
just so I can sing my praises to KATIE and work with her again and
again? Not only is Katie one of the most kind, sweet, warm, hilarious
people (and now friend), she is also a saint and a professional to the
core. Katie was a dream. I sound a bit hyperbolic perhaps to the non
believers, but feel free to ask Katie for my information and I can tell
you over the phone. HIRING KATIE WAS THE BEST DECISION WE MADE DURING
OUR ENTIRE 18 MONTH WEDDING PLANNING PROCESS. We trusted Katie to help
bring our vision with a very difficult venue choice (a great choice, but
with a ton of restrictions) to life. She did that, plus so much more. Here are a couple things you should know: #1 She will fight for you HARD: We had a couple of rough weeks there where we weren’t sure if we made the right choice with venue simply because one vendor was acting stubborn (we ended up LOVING our venue, but make sure you check and like all the required vendors before you book!). Katie kept promising me that it would all work out and that she wouldn’t let the situation go until we were happy. She was a true champion and in the end we were thrilled with the results. #2 She is CREATIVE: I had a very specific vision and Katie was all on board, however her expertise gave her the opportunity to make suggestions I hadn’t even considered. It was refreshing to have someone who wasn’t just saying “yes yes yes” all the time, but was willing to step in and say “hey, have you thought about this an an option?”. #3 She LISTENS: It was clear throughout the entire process that this was OUR wedding and not Katie’s. Not once did we feel like we weren’t being heard or that she was trying to create something that wasn’t authentic to us a couple. My family was super involved in the process and she did (at times!) help mediate some tough discussions - you really need that in a planner, a true unbiased “voice of reason” if you will. And Katie was just that. Katie, my darling, you are an angel!!! We are so lucky that you were a part of this experience. Seriously, if you have the option to go all out with Kirkbrides spend the dollars, you will not regret it and try (if you can, although I’m sure all the planners on Val’s team are amazing) to cash in your golden ticket and snag Katie. |

With
both of us so busy with work my fiancé and I knew from the beginning
that we would leverage a planner for our wedding. We learned about
Kirkbrides after having met with several possible vendors. Our planner,
Allison Miller, was impressive right from the start. She immediately
showed her care for our time by meeting me at work and coming so
prepared with all the details you could imagine to make such an
important decision. Right from the start I felt she was an expert in
her field and genuinely cared about making our day the most special of
our lives. We worked with Allison for about a year and 1/2 and she proved her value over and over again. She navigated us through the initial choice of a venue - helping to bridge what my fiancé and I wanted by personally visiting so many locations with us. She educated us on the process and was so helpful about understanding the need for beauty and value. She was also my own personal anxiety reliever on so many occasions from the stressful process of landing a date at the venue of our choice to fielding my text messages the random night I freaked out that my dress was not dressy enough compared with my bridesmaid choice - her calming response to my worried “will I look weird next to them” was a simple “no, I think you look so beautiful in it. What would look weird is if you were in sequins”. It immediately relieved my worry and still makes me laugh! From her relationships with her vendors to her impeccable taste she was an utter delight to work with and took all the stress out of this process for my husband and I. I did not have family members helping me with our decisions and Allison was truly my sounding board - helping me to navigate everything from reception design decisions to the color of the ink on our invitations. She was also extremely helpful at guiding my budget. - where to invest and what things people would never notice. She made planning this huge beautiful day such a joy. As a type “A” person it was such a strange thing to really allow someone to “take care” of me and to simply just “show up” on our big day with everything so beautifully complete was truly one of the greatest gifts anyone has ever given to me. I recommend Kirkbrides - and especially Allison to anyone thinking of making this investment. Between their vendor relationships and expertise we felt strongly the investment was returned to us in so many ways. |
