When given the opportunity to create your own photoshoot and
let your imagination and creativity run wild, it is hard to focus on one
particular look, especially when your vision includes a Disney
Princess- a girl's dream! With so many beautiful and fun princess story lines,
it was hard to choose just one! But after working in the past with an amazing family at their
private residence to plan an outdoor reception, the grounds of the property
inspired me: Rapunzel! The property was perfect for the deep woodland,
rustic, Rapunzel-style.
With a remarkable location chosen, it was time to bring the
design to life. With a group of A-team vendors we did just that! First, we
needed a beautiful blonde model with
long golden hair. Rachael Adamic was
the perfect choice! She looked the Rapunzel part in a gorgeous dress from The Dress Bridal Boutique and hair done
by Haley Delzani of Lather. The
final touch was makeup by Lindsay London, who created a natural, beautiful look.
Arne from Plantscaping and Blooms created stunning floral pieces that represented the Rapunzel
concept perfectly. Whimsical vines, multiple purple tone flowers and pink flowers created the overall feel of this magical story line. With a high top rustic table from Event Source, the floral pieces were able to cascade down the table
just like Rapunzel’s hair. The chargers,
flatware, napkins and glassware chosen from Event Source also helped to pull in
the German flare of this fairytale.
And what is a Disney Princess-themed dinner party without a
stunning cake? Luna Bakery created
an amazing three tiered, partially naked cake that was fit for royalty! The cake was displayed in front of a stained glass window in
Rapunzel’s tower and was decorated in flowers that flowed down the cake and
draped the table. The cake table popped with beautiful magenta linen.
Rapunzel and her dinner guests all had an assigned seating at
this event with unique place cards that hung from the back of their
chairs, written out in beautiful hand calligraphy by Janine of Kirkbrides. Emily Millay Photography captured
all of these fun details and more. She brought this story and look to life with
her stunning photos! This shoot was a dream come true that completely captured
my vision and I couldn’t have done it without the talent of these amazing
vendors!

I am thankful to have a job that allows me to do so many things - exert my creative energy, help people, develop relationships and see plans come to reality. The experience of getting to know the families we work with has taught me so many valuable life lessons and makes me a better person every day. Also, my everyday job of leading this group of professional women is one of the greatest honors of my life.

Each time I send a bride down the aisle, I feel blessed that she chose
me to stand by her on this most important day. I am so thankful that I
am a part of so many amazing celebrations of love and I witness first
hand these days that will be etched in their memories forever. The
families I get to know throughout the planning process are priceless
gifts to me!

I am so grateful not only to have a career that I am passionate about
but also to have the opportunity to be part of such a special time in
our clients lives. Developing relationships with so many amazing
couples and families and seeing the joy on their faces on one of the
biggest days of their lives is an incomparable feeling. I am thankful
not only on Thanksgiving, but every day, that I am able to do something I
love and leave a lasting positive impact on couples all at the same
time.

Working with Cristie and Jamie was a dream come true! They
knew what they wanted and were quick to make decisions given our short planning
process. We started working together in May with plans for a fall, outdoor,
on-the-water wedding. We quickly got to work securing the beautiful Shoreby
Club, the perfect venue for a late September wedding.
The big day quickly arrived but with the wonderful team of
vendors we were working with every detail, large or small, came together and looked amazing! The
ceremony took place on the bluff with gorgeous floral arrangements created by
The Budding Tree. The ceremony ended to the beautiful music of Opus 216 just as
the sun was setting for a natural, romantic setting that no vendor could have
created if we tried! Once the ceremony was over, guests entered into a stunning tent with
lighting done by Rock the House and the tent liner assembled by AAble Rents. After an
amazing meal from Shoreby Club and a delicious and stunning wedding cake from
Michael Angelo’s, guests danced
the night away to the music of DJ Art from Cleveland Music Group.
The beautiful fall weather and the spectacular Shoreby Club
grounds set the stage for the wedding day Cristie and Jamie wanted!
