FROM ALLISON:
Life came full circle for me when Christina phoned me about her upcoming Cleveland wedding. I found out very quickly that her grandfather was the former mayor of my hometown and I was tickled to be a part of their family celebration. In fact, her grandparents were a big reason why they chose Cleveland for their wedding. Christina, AJ and his family live in New York and Christina’s parents live in Florida, so Cleveland sounded like the perfect location to bring everyone together!
Family was to be the focus of this beautiful union. I also can’t forget to mention their Italian heritage! There was a heavy dose of both throughout. We created a 16 foot cookie table that I couldn’t pass by without sneaking a taste, along with an Italian quote wrapped around each napkin. Our table numbers were also in Italian. Of course, guests were treated to a pasta course before their entrée.
I’m absolutely in love with the beautiful flowers and décor. The gold details along with those subtle hints of the wine colored flowers in the centerpieces popped against the pale gray walls and the gold really brought out the wall frescoes. Christina and AJ planned a family centered celebration where their guests could dance the night away. It was an amazing day and I had a wonderful time getting to know them and their special families.

Annie originally hired Kirkbrides for our day-of coordination package only, a few months before her April wedding day. Since she and Stephen live in Washington DC and it was a springtime wedding, what better design to go with than cherry blossoms! After chatting some more at her fabulous Hunt Club venue, I was able to help Annie with more ideas than just the day-of routine and the wedding was absolutely stunning. Annie gave a heartwarming speech at her reception and the talented musicians from Harmonia provided guests with a charming "strolling" musical experience during dinner! We worked with some familiar vendors and new (to us) vendors on this wedding - Charles Phillips did a beautiful job with the tall cherry blossom centerpieces and the pictures from Molly Nook are amazing!
A first for me at this wedding was around 10pm when Annie's seamstress arrived and they went upstairs to the dressing room, to CUT THE BOTTOM OF HER DRESS OFF! It was such a cool moment to see her come back down with a modified dress and do her father-daughter dance with her dad. Her guests were so surprised! The guests were treated to a goodnight favor of popcorn from the Chagrin Falls popcorn shop.
Congratulations Annie and Stephen! So wonderful working with you as well as Annie's mom, Pat!
