Wedding by Hannah Wang.
I love that my job is all about celebrating love!! I love that I get to work with couples from all different walks of life, who express their love for each other and their friends and family in all different ways. Every once in a while though, I run into a couple that is so perfect for each other, that I feel incredibly blessed to be able to be part of their special day.
Kate and Amed are that couple. When Amed enters the room, you can see Kate's eyes soften and any stress she has just melt from her shoulders. When Amed hears Kate's laugh, the corners of his lips turn up in a slow smile. They are truly beautiful people, both inside and out, and could not be more perfect for one another. It's no small wonder then, that their vendor list was made up of a huge number of family and friends! From the makeup and hair stylists, to the DJ and cocktail hour pianists, Kate and Amed's friends and family members flew into Cleveland from near and far to help them celebrate their love.
Of course, we had a huge amount of help from our local vendor friends as well! When Yasmeen, Amed's sister, called me a week before the wedding, and asked us to help them put together a traditional Indian sangeet on last minute notice, I knew that we had to put together a dream team to get things done in time. Alina from Party Decor provided the elegant stage furniture, skyping with me late on a Wednesday night after a long flight to help us select the perfect pieces. The Budding Tree and Isa's Touch both pitched in to create gorgeous centerpieces and milni garlands on short notice. The Renaissance's lighting and AV team even created a dangling chandelier made from colorful parasols in the center of the ballroom!!
The wedding day went off without a hitch with the tremendous help of Jaci, the Renaissance's event coordinator. Kate and Amed actually elected to not have a bridal party! I really think this helped make the day all the more special, as they were able to focus on each other, and their vendors were able to give them so much more attention. I really hope this becomes a trend. Of course, the ceremony and reception decor by Daughter's Florist was flawless, and the elegant hand-piped cake from Becker's Cakes was absolutely breathtaking! It was truly hard to say goodbye to this amazing couple, and to leave the party, at the end of the night! Congratulations Kate and Amed!!
Thank you note:
"Hi Hannah,
I hope you've had a wonderful holiday season! I know I am late in sending this, but we just wanted to say thank you again for all your hard work, and help during our wedding! It really was perfect. Your attention to detail and staying calm under pressure was invaluable. All the comments from our guests have just been overwhelming with how much fun they had and how beautiful everything was. I cannot thank you enough for taking the pressure off of us with all of the little details, and for thinking of everything when I couldn't. If you ever need a reference, or anything I would be happy to vouch for your amazing ability at coordinating an event. I wish you all the best!
Happy New Year!
Kate, Amed & Yasmeen"
The Knot Review:
"I was just married in December 2014, and we hired kirkbrides to coordinate our wedding weekend. Our situation was a little different than most as we had two wedding ceremonies. My husband is Indian, so we did an Indian ceremony one day and a traditional wedding the next. We both grew up in the Cleveland area, but now live in New York City. We wanted to come home for our wedding, and that is when we decided it made sense to hire kirkbrides for the coordination. Luckily I have the best sister in law who sought out all the vendors for me, but had I not we would have gone with kirkbrides to facilitate our entire wedding. From the time we got engaged to when we said I do it was only 6 months, and I still can't believe we pulled off such an elegant wedding. Hannah helped so much along the way, by thinking of all the little items that I didn't, such as how to set up the wedding program, goodie bags for our guests at the hotel, how the flow of the day would go. So many things that would overwhelm anyone, but with her help I never felt that way. From the moment we met Hannah I instantly liked her, she was professional, honest and easy going. I swear nothing stresses her out! I felt that after our initial meeting we would be in good hands, which is tough for me to admit since I am a bit of a control freak. Hannah always returned my emails and calls within the same day, she collaborated with our wedding coordinator at The Renaissance beautifully. What resonated with me the most were the small touches that made my day beyond perfect.Throughout the day she made sure I had anything I needed. I didn't realize how important it was to have someone that is not family or friends helping, but it truly is vital. I wanted to make sure that my mom and sister didn't have anything to stress out about during my big day. My husband had a bit of an issue with his bowtie, and within minutes Hannah had found someone to tie it for him! Right after our ceremony we went up to my room to bustle my dress and Hannah made sure that we received the signature drink from our wedding as well as a plate of Hors d'Oeuvres brought up, which thank goodness she did, because we weren't able to try them otherwise. She made sure that I didn't cut my cake until my sister returned from the restroom, it was all these small little things that she made happen that allowed us to have the best time ever. Towards the end of the evening Hannah said goodbye to myself and my husband, and I was truly sad. She had become a friend to me during all of the stress of the wedding, and it was hard to part ways. Hannah is someone that had I met on my own I would be friends with! If you are not sure about kirkbrides, or hiring a planner/coordinator trust me it is worth the money. Out of all the things we spent money on this fee was the most deserved. I can honestly say that my wedding was absolutely perfect, and everything I had hoped it would be. Without a doubt Hannah & kirkbrides played a huge part in that, and I will be forever grateful."

It's always a planner's dream to create a tent wedding by the water but in this case, I was able to create a wedding by the water with two tents! Laura and Pete and Laura's mom, Mary wanted to make sure that their guests had a unique and enjoyable wedding experience and that meant thinking outside of the box for their September 14th wedding. I also guaranteed excellent weather to have them agree to this idea so I was truly hoping for perfection that day!
With a guest count that went above The Shoreby Club's tent size, Mary asked about doing a second tent on their beautiful bluff. Our main tent would be more timeless with billowy draped fabric on the ceiling and full, lush centerpieces and our second tent for dancing would be a clear tent with modern touches like lamp shades for chandeliers. The vision worked perfectly as guests were ushered down to the second tent after dinner by the horn section of the band and guests danced the night away. Even our weather worked in our favor...sunny skies and water like glass!
Laura and Pete were able to wow their guests, whom were not from the area and found Cleveland to be a wonderful city. I have made life long friends because of this beautiful wedding and it is an excellent reminder of how amazing my job is....not only because of the wedding dreams I make a reality but also because of the people I am blessed to have in my life because of it!
