It's really quite hard to put in to words the fun and joy that I experienced working with Daniella, Alli and their families. The center of the planning was always about having fun and creating a joyous experience for their guests from start to finish. That was never more evident than with the amazing decor that transformed Ariel International Center. Guests were greeted by a tented walkway with a chandelier and walked in to a fully draped lobby area. Ariel is a large building and we knew guests would be meandering down hallways and up to other floors and we certainly gave them a feast for the eyes by beautifying every last nook and cranny.
The ceremony space was by far my favorite set up ever. The circular formation of the chairs said "we are all one here" and when guests moved up to the reception space, I can only describe it as a New York City bistro under the stars. Of course, I cannot forget to mention their amazing wedding cake. Daniella's mom and dad had a grand cake similar to the one they wanted for the wedding and it was so fun to see them re-live that moment. I know everyone on the planning team felt very proud of this wedding. I will always look back fondly on this fabulous day and this beautiful couple!

Tell a girl who loves Disney as much as she loves weddings to do a fairytale-inspired styled shoot and you will have one happy wedding planner! My mind was spinning with all of the beautiful things I could create. Ariel has always been my favorite princess and under the sea could get really creative! Aladdin could be over-the-top and glam. Cinderella is classic and elegant, usually my favorite style. The possibilities were endless! When I put together this shoot, I was in the middle of planning my own wedding (more to come on that later!). My own wedding was all about the neutral colors and the classic elegance so I decided to go with something completely different! A Snow White inspired woodland shoot outdoors with deep reds, forest green, and gold accents…because even though she spends most of her time in the forest, she’s still a princess.
With the help of Erin at The Budding Tree we put together an amazing table scape and scene that turned out better than we expected. Erin is amazing and brought more than just flowers to really tie everything together. The Club at Hillbrook provided a beautiful setting for our fairytale. The tea house outside was the perfect backdrop and the Club is set on the most beautiful property that we enjoyed exploring with our model, photographers, and videographers on a lovely spring day. Suzanne of Urbane Society even did hair & makeup for our model outside because it was just so nice out there!
I stopped in at Event Source a few weeks before the shoot and thank goodness I did! There are so many new items that I love. The red sequin linen for the cake table was chosen to give some contrast, plus the dwarves spent their days working in a jewel mine so I wanted to give a nod to that element of the story. The naked red velvet cake from Luna looked (and tasted!) incredible with additional accents from Erin. I love mixing and matching different patterns in all forms so I chose various patterned plates and chargers as well as three different glasses bringing in those gold accents and a bit of green to tie in the forest aspect of the shoot. The large farm table provided a great base for everything we were bringing together and looked beautiful with a lace runner from Erin at The Budding Tree. The new Triomphe Chairs from Event Source are fit for a king and queen and the farm chairs a great space for the seven dwarves.
I also had fun with some other accents including menus featuring the desserts that Snow White bakes for the dwarves in the movie and a traditional German wedding feast – Snow White was set in Germany! I had fun hand-lettering apple place cards for our guests and the table number on a smaller wooden slab. Chris & Julie brought fresh apples to accent all over and to surround the cake as well as props and a cape for our bride to wear through the forest. Suzanne wove a red ribbon through the bride’s hair, Luna provided a perfect cake stand, and Erin brought various sizes of round wooden slabs to layer our table and our cake. Everyone was on the same page creatively and worked so well together to create a beautiful inspiration shoot – we had such a nice day and wish we could have sat down and had a party at our beautiful table!
Now enjoy the enchanting video captured by Wedding Stories in Motion and beautiful pictures captured by the wonderful Christopher & Julie!
