Danielle & Chase's Westin Wedding

I still remember the first conversation I had with Danielle over the phone - it was the day after Chase proposed to her on Edgewater Beach. Less than 24 hours after the engagement, Danielle had already booked her venue, purchased her dress, and made possibly the most important decision a newly engaged girl can make - to become a Kirkbrides bride (I may be a little biased)!

And what a dream of a wedding it was to design and plan! Danielle’s style is impeccable. You can tell by the absolutely breathtaking dress she chose. The cascade of ruffles is romantic and fantastical, but its structure lends a contemporary feel that perfectly mirrors The Westin’s vibe. Just look at Danielle under this feather chandelier at Urban Farmer in the photo above, by the very talented Genevieve and James Nisly!

We continued to play off this theme throughout the design process of the wedding: Neil Leeson’s romantic glimmering candles offset by bevel-edged mirrors and uniquely-shaped vases, Be Seated’s glamorous but modern crystal chiavaris, Event Source’s sleek white dance deck. Rock The House’s pin spots and uplights added a final dramatic flair. 

Although Danielle was originally skeptical about pairing different shaped tables together, we were eventually able to win her over! By combining classic rounds draped in L’nique’s elegant Gabrielle Damask with more modern square/long tables draped in L’nique’s ritzy diamonds overlay, we added a layer of depth and dimension to the room that perfectly reflects Danielle’s sophisticated style. 

Danielle’s tears of joy when she walked into the room are what every planner lives for! Danielle and her guests partied through the night with none other than Cleveland's own Shout! and DJ Donkis.

It’s interesting that design-wise, this wedding was a marriage of opposites, because Danielle and Chase complement each other in exactly the same way. I loved watching the way Danielle’s bubbly nature made Chase smile, and the way Chase’s calm demeanor soothed her nerves. How wonderful it was then, that the wedding was on March 21st (3-2-1): a countdown for what is sure to be a lifetime filled with joy, happiness, and of course, love!
