Rachel and Vito: August 16

October 14, 2008

When I met Rachel about 7 months out from her wedding day, we clicked right away and I knew it was a great match not only for an amazing wedding to work on, but also as a new friend! We worked together on fine tuning the creative details of her wedding day and you need to check out the pictures below to see how it turned out. Rachel is one of those special people who you cannot help but absolutely love and become friends with, and I am so happy for her and Vito, who have been together for 12 years!

Rachel is Egyptian, and Vito is Italian. She decided to go with gold, silver and ivory for her wedding colors (I know, so unique and fun, right?). We incorporated the Italian influence in part of the menu and the accordion player we hired for the cocktail hour music! The Egyptian influence was pulled in with one of the most entertaining things I have ever seen at a wedding reception: BELLY DANCERS! The guests were so surprised and absolutely loved it.

This wedding was amazing in every sense: delicious food, lively music (a 10 piece motown band, organized to play arabic music on their breaks!), cakes with different designs on every other table, beautiful decor and wonderful families and friends to work with.

Custom calligraphy was done on the placecards and table names by Janine of Kirkbrides!

Thank you, Rachel and Vito, for having Kirkbrides be a part of your day. It was OUR pleasure and we wish you the best!

These fabulous pictures were provided to me by Robert at Rodriguez Photography. He was wonderful to work with on both a professional and personal level throughout the day. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a great photographer, as he made sure to capture the details that I know the bride and groom really wanted.
