Kate and Keith: A Wedding Fiesta!

January 8, 2010

From Rachael:
I had the pleasure of getting to know Kate and Keith starting in December 2008 as we began the journey of planning their wedding for the following July. I absolutely loved working with this couple whose fun personality was apparent from the beginning and even further represented in their unique wedding theme. They chose to do a modified “Fiesta” themed wedding in honor of their love of Mexico. This was such a fun event to plan!! We were able to create a day that was everything a wedding should be; beautiful, memorable, fun, and in keeping with the couple’s personality and style.

The setting at Walden Inn in Aurora was perfect for the relaxed feel they wanted for their outdoor ceremony and “south of the border” reception. After watching Kate and Keith exchange vows outside, guests were invited inside for tea and lemonade. Next a mariachi band entertained the crowd with some authentic Mexican music-the perfect thing to start the fun for the rest of the evening!

Several other details really helped pull together the whole feel we were going for; vintage postcards from Mexico stood in for table numbers, limes filled tall cylinder vases topped with branches as centerpieces, mini tequila bottles with tags attached doubled as escort cards and favors, and authentic Mexican wedding banners hung over the dance floor. The night was warm, festive, and full of love. A perfect wedding Fiesta.

Congratulations Kate and Keith! We hope your married life together is just as fun and colorful as your wedding!
