Brittany & Tyler’s wedding was truly one like no other. Rather than a traditional ceremony and
evening reception with a plated dinner, Brittany and Tyler dreamt of a brunch wedding with
plenty of food throughout the day, an awesome band, and one big day party full of love and
that is exactly what they got. The love between Brittany and Tyler is one like I’ve never seen
before, these two are so clearly in love that everyone around them can feel it. Brittany and
Tyler met over beers at their favorite bar, The Map Room, on St Patrick's Day. The next
summer, Brittany was faced with a health scare.

To quote B + T, “we held hands through every obstacle, sometimes not knowing what else to do. In the end, we emerged happy + healthy,
stronger together, and with a love for each other that we never knew existed.”
When Brittany underwent treatments, she lost her hair. When her hair grew back she rocked
the cutest pixie cut and Tyler loved it so much that when her hair started getting longer, he
called her hair stylist and offered her $1000 to bring back Brittany’s pixie cut against her will.
Her stylist & friend, Mindy Robertson, wouldn’t do that to Brittany so Tyler never got the pixie
cut he so loved. Until their wedding day! After the rehearsal dinner and welcome party,
Brittany went back to hotel and sat with Mindy while she gave her a pixie cut. Tyler had no idea
until he saw Brittany for the first time during their first look, his reaction was pure joy and had
everyone in happy tears!

The perfect spot for this unique, daytime wedding was difficult to find. It turned out, that the
perfect spot did not exist but was being built as we were planning. We booked Sapphire Creek
when it was a hole in the ground based on one concept photo and hoped it would be perfect.
The venue was even more gorgeous than we thought it would be and when we got the
opportunity to come see the finished building in February 2018.
Brittany’s jaw hit the floor when
she walked in. When guests arrived for the wedding, they were greeted with mimosas & a
bloody mary bar as well as French toast cups and bacon! We then opened the doors to the
main space for guests to take whatever place they liked for the ceremony.

We had a variety of high and low tables with a stunning mix of velvet linens and simple flowers and greens. We worked with Lowe’s Greenhouse to create an organic growing garden on the stage where the couple would say “I do” in front of a beautiful floor to ceiling window. With no assigned seating
guests truly surrounded Brittany and Tyler as they walked down the “aisle” and were married
and again, there was not a dry eye in the house during one of the most heartfelt and love-filled
ceremonies I have ever witnessed. The newly married couple exited their ceremony hand in
hand and immediately re-entered and took the dance floor for their first dance. The rest of the
day was filled with passed hors d’oeuvres, a wood-fired pizza station, chicken & waffles, and
sweets. And of course lots of dancing! When the party concluded, guests boarded buses
stocked with the couples’ favorite beers and headed down to where it all began, The Map
Room, to celebrate the rest of the evening away with the new Mr. and Mrs Mihaila. #maproomtomihaila
