Current Happenings at Kirkbrides

We've been working to post our amazing 2012 and 2013 weddings and will continue to do so as this year progresses.  We like to spread out the love!  I wanted to take a minute to write this post to announce some exciting news for Kirkbrides!

First, we were awarded the 2013 ISES Ohio WOW award for Best Wedding $75,000- $200,000 for our New Year's Eve wedding!  Here is a link to the pictures from Genevieve Nisly's photography website.  This wedding was truly magical to work on in every way and it will go down in my memory as one of the milestones of my wedding planning career.  Allison and I attended a wonderful awards banquet with the top event professionals in Ohio at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 19 and I was very pleased to accept this award for the 2nd year in a row!

Due to rave reviews from our clients, we have also received the following recognition for 2013:

Also, we were asked by 19 Action News to film a commercial for them detailing how we use their weather report to help us with planning our weddings!  See the video below.  It's been fun hearing from everyone we know that they saw it!

We have many exciting and creative weddings left this year in every month, so be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for pictures during the wedding days!  Thank you so much for all of your support and comments as we post pictures showcasing our work.

Angela & Umesh's Double Ceremony Wedding at the Union Club

This wedding was such a wonderful, heartfelt affair.  Angela encompasses class, beauty and loveliness in every way.  She is just that kind of person.  Umesh and Angela make such an amazing couple and their entire day was truly one of the most romantic weddings I have ever witnessed!  We spent many hours discussing how to incorporate their Hindu wedding ceremony, "American" wedding ceremony, cocktail hour an 200 person reception celebration.  It all took place at one of our favorite venues, the Union Club.  We did it and it turned out perfect!  We had all of those events, also incorporating their love of music (both play clarinet - met that way - Angela is a professional musician) and also love of Paris.  They actually moved to Paris for 6 months after the wedding just to experience living there!  Are you jealous yet?!  They live in New York City and I wished I lived there during the planning just to be able to hang out with Angela (I still do!).

Another very impressive piece of this wedding is that Angela's friends from Carnegie Mellon collaborated on her American wedding music and actually composed a song specifically for her walk up the stairs aisle with her dad.  It was absolutely breathtaking!
