Emma, Kurt, and their families are such kind and easy-going people. Helping them plan their big day was so enjoyable because they were all such a pleasure to be around. Kurt & Emma were married at the beautiful St. Dominic Church and hosted their reception at The Union Club. Both gorgeous spaces for an elegant winter wedding!

Emma wanted a classic and timeless wedding with a few odes to her hometown, Cleveland. Rather than the classic holiday colors, we designed Emma’s wedding using ivory, blush and silver. Emma’s cake from Luna Bakery is one of my favorites of all time. A gorgeous, vintage-inspired wedding cake with lots of piping details made a statement. We worked with The Budding Tree to incorporate lots of white, ivory and blush florals combined with some silver ornaments in the centerpieces to give a little nod to the holiday season. Emma’s large, all ivory bouquet was stunning with her beautiful elegant gown. The Union Club itself is a very timeless and elegant venue, with its dark wood details and grand staircase. We used beautiful embroidered linens from L’Nique with a combination of silver and blush satin napkins for all guests with beautiful blush lighting from Cleveland Music Group. We were able to use stationery to bring in personal touches while still keeping the wedding classic and elegant! The table numbers featured a beautiful silhouette of the Cleveland skyline and Kurt and Emma spent their first date at a trivia night and came to love going to trivia night together… so each guest was greeted at their seat with Kurt & Emma trivia! Each card was different so that guests were encouraged to interact with others at their table to learn more about the couple. The couple also had one of my favorite touches ever at a wedding, a cardboard cutout of their two pugs to sit with them at their sweetheart table. The pugs were a hit throughout the evening and guests kept bringing them on the dance floor and into the photo booth! My favorite visual aspect of Kurt & Emma’s wedding was an oversized welcome floral arrangement surrounded by guest escort cards at the base of the Union Club’s grand staircase adorned with a massive Christmas tree, garland, lights, and poinsettias. A true wow for guests as they arrived.

Emma and Kurt’s day was gorgeous and flawless but my favorite moment couldn’t be planned. All throughout planning her wedding Emma was incredibly easy-going. The only thing she truly cared about was getting snow on her big day. Leading up to the wedding it kept looking as though Emma was not going to get her wish. I so badly wanted her to get snow and kept watching out the window in case the weather was wrong. Right before guests were about to arrive for cocktail hour, Emma got her wish!!! The sky opened up and the couple ran outside with their amazing photographers to get one of the most epic wedding photos I have ever seen. I think everyone was so happy for Emma and Kurt when they saw this photo!
