After 26 years the Marriott downtown underwent quite the facelift which was completed in March, and Stephanie and Dylan were lucky enough to be one of the first weddings in the beautiful new ballroom space! Their wedding had an earthy elegance that paired well with the romantic nature of the new ballroom.

When Stephanie and I began working on the design of her wedding one detail was clear – she wanted to focus on infusing lilac-grey.  That we did in so many of the charming details from the water glasses to the floral design – even the cake was lilac-grey!

Stephanie’s invitations were stunning – a beautiful watercolor design with an elegant and romantic tone that carried throughout all of the paper details including menus, place cards and ceremony programs.

The linens and table top rentals really brought the entire vision together – guest tables adorned with gold-rimmed charger plates, purple water glasses, specialty china and stunning velvet linens were jaw-dropping. I adore the settee that Stephanie and Dylan used at the head table – a perfect touch to complete the romantic and whimsical look.

The floral décor was so perfect it almost took my breath away – the lush greenery and the depth of texture and color that the Plantscaping team designed was flawless. We also incorporated wood pedestals and a wood Chuppah at the ceremony to weave in an earthy, organic feeling. Once the ballroom was flipped, we chose fruitwood chiavari chairs, again to highlight an earthy vibe. It all came together so well within the ballroom which speaks to the versatility of the renovated space.

The dance floor was such a blast thanks to Marcus from A Bride’s DJ and of course, Jessica Vidmar captured the love and romantic mood of the evening in all of her gorgeous photos.
