Katie and Mike's Chic Cleveland Museum of Art Wedding

This chic wedding at the Cleveland Museum of Art is not one to miss! Katie and Mike had a showstopper wedding filled with stunning white florals and lots of modern details. When the bride works in the fashion industry and has the best taste combined with the best vendor team, you get this amazing day!

Our day started getting ready at the Kimpton Schofield, a funky boutique hotel right in the middle of downtown Cleveland. The hotel also has a handful of modern luxury apartments where the brides’ parents live and where many of our planning meetings occurred overlooking our beautiful downtown. Katie really does have the best taste – she looked amazing in her Pnina Tornai dress, miu miu platform shoes, and sleek hairstyle. The couple shared their first look on a hidden rooftop parking deck and spent the day taking photos with their chic bridal party. The weather was calling for rain the entire day but it held off until about 2 minutes after the bridal party arrived at St Paul Catholic Shrine for family photos. Guests were escorted into the church with clear bubble umbrellas and greeted with stunning florals and music by OPUS 216 to set the tone of the evening. Right after the ceremony guests were taken to the incomparable Cleveland Museum of Art in Cleveland’s favorite, Lolly the Trolley.

Guests were greeted with an orchid adorned hedge holding acrylic escort cards guiding them to their tables. The marble and light-filled atrium was set with a combination of metallic linens and mirrored tables paired with silver chameleon chairs. Each table was topped with matte black flatware, metallic chargers, square bread & butter plates, modern square glassware, acrylic table numbers painted with copper, marbled menus, and copper foil pressed marble place cards. The stationery custom made by Rose Gold Studio really added to the décor – rather than just wedding paper we had acrylic, marble, and other feature items that were seen in welcome boxes and invitations and even the dance floor. Guest tables were also topped with Phalaenopsis orchids in modern beakers or soaring floral arrangements. The star of the show was the head table. The bride really wanted a hanging floral aspect but with the incredibly high ceilings in the museum we had to get creative. The amazing team at Heatherlily built a custom acrylic piece to suspend florals above the head table, by adding mirrors under the floral above a mirrored tabletop, the illusion of florals floating above the bridal party was created. The head table looked perfect next to the all-white dance floor adorned with the couples’ monogram that was seen throughout their wedding stationery. Chic black lounge areas were set next to the dance floor for those guests wanting to rest their feet without leaving the party. The band was set on a stage surrounded by orchid filled hedges and in front the cake was set on a square table topped with an acrylic stand filled with even more floral. As the night went on the atrium glowed with lighting by Vincent Lighting and guests enjoyed a black & white photo booth and the ever amazing The Avenue of Cleveland Music Group.
