Lexi and Danny are such a sweet couple! Lexi had a clear vision of what
she wanted their day to look like; shades of blush and silver with
elegant florals and lots of candlelight and I was thrilled to help make
that happen. Lexi was organized and excited which made my job easier
but my favorite part of planning with Lexi and Danny was that during any
meeting when a decision needed to be made, Danny would say "whatever
makes her happy" with a big smile. Danny had an even bigger smile on
his face when Lexi walked down the aisle.
Lexi and Danny were married
under the most gorgeous draped Chuppah surrounded by 300 of their
favorite people. After they were officially married Lexi and Danny led
the party out of the ceremony to the Ohio State Fight Song...fun fact
here: the groom is such a big OSU fan that when I sent them a document
to review with one category highlighted in blue and one in yellow he
told me I would have to change those colors because it made him think of
their rival, Michigan.
The evening went straight from the
ceremony to a cocktail hour in the Cleveland Aquarium where guests could
enjoy their cocktails among the fish and where Lexi and Danny got some
amazing photos with sharks swimming over their heads. Guests were then
invited upstairs to a transformed and elegant room with beautiful
linens, florals, and lots of candlelight...exactly the room Lexi had
envisioned. We chose a combination of 3 different linens along with 3
different centerpieces to add interest to all of the tables in the
reception. We got really creative with linens by pairing things like a
sheer runner over a solid runner to create the look Lexi really wanted.
Lexi's flowers were stunning! A combination of blush and ivory soared
over the tables like fluffy floral clouds while others sat amongst
floating tiered candles and in mirrored boxes to help add to the depth
of candlelight and glass in the room. They also had a huge spread of
homemade desserts from various family members with a big Ohio State ice
sculpture for the groom. The evening continued with a killer band and
lots of love, family, and dancing. These people knew how to party!
Congratulations Lexi and Danny, we were so honored to be a part of this
epic party.
