From the very beginning it was clear that the couple's main objective of their wedding was FUN!  When asked what they were most looking forward to about their wedding day both Nick and Lauren said a big dance party with all of their favorite people.  Ask any of Nick and Lauren's family and friends to describe Nick and Lauren in 3 words and every single person will use "fun" as one of their words.  I am lucky enough to be friends with this couple before, during, and after planning their wedding with them and I have always thought the same thing about them but talking to their friends and family, hearing the speeches at their reception, and even hearing the Priest's message about them during their beautiful ceremony made it very clear that every person who interacts with Nick and Lauren knows them to be the life of the party.

I kept this in mind during every planning and timeline decision and we wove in some extra special touches to really make it clear that we were there to party!  Everyone knows the traditional part of the reception when the bride and groom are announced in and everyone cheers but we took things up a notch and enlisted the help of Cleveland Music Group to have all of the lights in the venue go purple when they were announced in to a Prince song.  The couple then went right into their first dance to Boogie Shoes, keeping up with that fun that they are known and loved for.  The couple is also known for being big fans of Taco Bell, several people even joked with them that they should have their wedding at Taco Bell!  So obviously this had to come into play.  After a good amount of dancing and partying the lights again started changing to shades of purple, pink, and yellow; Danza Caduro came on; and 300 Taco Bell tacos were brought in as a surprise late-night snack.  No one knew about this outside of the planning team and the bride & groom so it was quite the amazing surprise for all of the other guests!

When it came to the decor and design, Lauren knew exactly what she wanted.  A romantic, candlelit reception in black and red with gold accents.  We incorporated 4 different centerpieces mixing tall and short centerpieces filled with gorgeous red blooms and lots of candlelight.  We had beautiful gold China set on black linens with blackberries in champagne at each guests' seat. We also had a 12' bar made of ice with the couple's new monogram as a surprise to the groom, because what's a winter wedding party without an ice bar?! One of my favorite aspects that we incorporated was a wall of real Christmas trees behind the head table.  We kept these simple with some snow and uplighting to accent them and they looked and smelled amazing!  Nick and Lauren had a big bridal party all in black so the head table looked really classy with a sequin linen, gold candelabras, and with the trees backing them.  Lauren kept joking the whole time leading up to the wedding that she was jealous of the bridesmaids for wearing black, since she is always wearing black.  Lauren also loves leopard print  so we had her bouquet wrapped in leopard fabric to stay true to herself even though she would be wearing white.  I think I speak for everyone in saying that Lauren truly took everyone's breath away when she walked through those church doors in her beautiful white dress.  See for yourself in the pictures and video, this was a stunning wedding with an even more stunning bride!  Cheers Nick and Lauren on the perfect kick-off to your fun-filled marriage.
